15/9/25 - September, Winter is on the way.

So, September is now in full swing. Wintery nights are drawing in and there is a distinct change in the air. Autumn is upon us...
I can usually tell exactly when autumn hits with a few key indicators, first and foremost my wife telling me 324 times a day that she's cold, that and the heating bill skyrocketing by 300%..... but I digress. The change in leaf colour, the darker evenings, the smell of chimney smoke in the air... Winter is on the way.
September is a busy month in our household. You see, we have not one, not two, but three birthdays throughout September. Each having to be celebrated with presents, days out, birthday cake and all that jazz. (Oh the expense!.....)
First it was my Wife's birthday. There was the obligatory Cake, generic presents and a set of tickets for her to go to the Theatre (Her main present).
Then there was my son's birthday. He had lots of Toys, a cake, a new ride on tractor and a day out to Jimmy's Farm and Wildlife Park.
I'm not going to lie, I love this place! Pigs, Polar bears, Lemurs, tapirs, Goats, Camels, Zebra, Arctic Wolves, Crocodiles, you name it, they have it. From the Petting Zoo to the soft play, the indoor restaurant to the beer Garden, It's just great. We went this last weekend and had an amazing day out. The kids got to feed the animals, I had a cold beer, we all had hot chips, It was great, and to top it off Jimmy's Farm hosted a Rock/Pop festival in the main events arena that weekend! This was the highlight for me. Nostalgia hit me hard, singing along to songs from my youth whilst watching my children making new memories for themselves, this really was something else.... It's the little things in life...
Another, Great success!
