1/9/25 - All the Gear, some idea.

Another week has come and gone with lightning speed.
With several more leather projects complete, I'm gaining confidence in my leathercraft abilities, but Like any 'Boy and his toys' fanatic, there is a lack of tools in my workshop that would make all the difference... Least of all my first stitching pony that just kicked the bucket after 3 months of faithful service...
With it's demise, again i found myself scrolling etsy, ebay and various other websites looking for a replacement, quickly realising that it would be a costly endevour if i wanted anything more than the entry level quality that i had previously settled for. Then i got to thinking.... why not make my own?...
So i did...
3 lengths of pallet wood later, some hinges, A spring and some M12 threaded bolts and hey Presto! --Stitching Pony V2 was born!--
With this little success in the bag, I quickly realised i could retrofit other tools in my workshop to add functionality.
The end result:
i) A 1tonne arbor press modified into a leather die cutter press.
ii) A corded dremmel now retrofitted with stand to become a burnishing machine.
iii) A hinged stitching Pony attached to my workbench that folds away at a moments notice.
And to top it off, I laser cut some cute little tool racks for my leatherworking tools.
Once Again, Great success!
