A Day at the Daisysmilk Shed Farmers Market — 30th May 2026
Share
There's something about a farmers market that just feels right. The smell of fresh produce, the hum of conversation, the sense that everything on offer has been made with genuine care. The Daisys milkshed Farmers Market on 30th May was exactly that - and then some.
Finding Our Spot
We arrived at 09:00 to set up the LwLeatherworking stall, from fighting with the gazebo to laying out belts, wallets, keychains, and a few of our favourite desk accessories on the table. There's always a moment just before things kick off where you take a breath and hope the work speaks for itself. At Daisysmilk Shed, it certainly did.
The Crowd
The footfall was brilliant from the off. Families, couples, and solo browsers all wandered through with a genuine curiosity - the kind of crowd that actually stops, picks things up, and asks questions. We had some wonderful conversations about vegetable-tanned leather, how a belt develops a patina over time, the leather industry and why full-grain is worth the investment. These are the moments that make live markets so valuable.
Standout Pieces
Our full-grain leather belts drew the most attention, closely followed by the hand-stitched wallets. A few people were particularly taken with the Bracelets - always a pleasant surprise. It's a reminder that leather goods work beautifully as gifts, and the summer season brings that out in people.
Why Markets Matter
Selling online is efficient, but there's no substitute for putting your work directly into someone's hands. At Daisys milkshed, people could feel the weight of the leather, smell the natural tannins, and see the hand-finishing up close. That tactile experience builds trust in a way that even the best product photography can't fully replicate.
Until Next Time
If you missed us on the day, you can come browse our wears next month when we take to the market again on the 28th June 2026.
We'd love to see you at the next one.
