Daisysmilk Shed Farmers Market - 27th September 2026
Share
There's something about a farmers market on a sunny day. Daisy's Milkshed has been a monthly thing for me since May, and the one on 27th September was the best yet.
Setting Up
Got there for 9am to set up the stall. The gazebo went up without much of a fight this time, which is progress. Keychains on the left, wallets in the middle, belts on the right. Then that same bit before opening where you stand back and hope people actually want what you've made. They did.
Who Turned Up
Busiest market since I started coming in May. The sunshine helped, and people were in no rush, stopping to pick things up and ask questions rather than just walking past. Had plenty of good conversations about vegetable-tanned leather and how it changes with use.
In the quieter moments I got chatting to the stall next to me, who make jewellery out of old spoons. Proper clever stuff. Also had a good talk with the people who run the refill van. Different trade, same idea really. Buy something decent and stop throwing things away.
What People Liked
The bracelets were the surprise of the day. Five went, three of them the Viking Rune ones. Belts weren't far behind with four sold, two of those the dark brown Vexillum. A couple of keychains went, plus a sunglasses case and a set of tractor coasters, which at a farmers market probably shouldn't have surprised me.
The Other Highlight
The Heavenly Crumble Company turned up, and I had the apple crumble and custard. Worth the trip on its own, honestly.
Next One
We'll be back in October. Come say hello if you're around.
