Summer had properly arrived by the time we packed up for our second visit to the Daisys Milkshed Farmers Market on 28th June - and so, it turned out, had a fair few familiar faces. Following on from our first outing back in May, this felt less like starting from scratch and more like coming home. By the time we loaded the car back up, twelve pieces across eight different products had gone to new homes.

Second Time's the Charm

Setting up was a different experience entirely this time round. We knew exactly where the gazebo pegs needed to go, which corner caught the best light for the belts, and how to angle the table so the wallets and keychains caught the eye of anyone wandering past. What took the best part of an hour in May was done in twenty minutes flat.

A Warmer Crowd, Literally

With the sun properly out, the whole market had a different energy to it. More families, more people happy to stand and chat rather than rush past, and no shortage of hands reaching out to feel the weight of a belt or turn a bracelet over in the light. A good number of visitors remembered us from last time, which is always a lovely feeling - a couple even came back specifically to pick up the belt they'd been umming and ahhing over in May.

What Sold Well

Belts were the clear stars of the day: two Vexillum belts in dark brown (one small, one large) and a Noir belt in black went home with new owners across the morning. The Full Grain Leather Wrap Bracelet wasn't far behind, with three heading off to new wrists in various sizes over the course of the day.

A couple of Custom Tactical Leather Keychains were handed over on the spot - one in green, one in mid brown - always a nice bit of theatre for the stall. Rounding out the day were a Full Grain Buffalo Leather Bracelet, a set of our Tractor Engraved Slate Coasters, one of our Badalassi Pueblo Leather Sunglasses Cases, and a cheeky 'I Don't Make Mistakes' wall sign for the workshop crowd.

Familiar Faces, New Conversations

What stood out most this time wasn't the sales themselves but the conversations - repeat customers asking how their belt had aged since May, new visitors curious about the difference between full-grain and genuine leather, and more than one chat about commissioning something bespoke. That's the real value of turning up twice: trust builds fast when people can see the same stall, the same faces, and the same standard of work each time.
